Application Process Overview
1st interview
First stage video interview with someone from the management team. An initial 30 min informal introduction meeting to learn more about each other before setting up a more formal face to face.
2nd interview
You come into the office to meet us in person and have a more in depth discussion about the role, our company, your background, aspirations, and expectations.

Mike Bull
Joint Managing Director
Mike formed Academy Consulting in 2001. A qualified chartered surveyor, he has more than 35 years experience in running complex cost and project management commissions in all sectors.
Mike is passionate about setting projects up properly at the outset to avoid issues and disputes during construction.
He leads in formulating budgets and contracts and managing costs to successfully deliver our client's projects, actively promoting collaboration to ensure successful outcomes.
As a Joint Managing Director of Academy Consulting, he shares the running of the Academy business.

Mandy Wheeler
Joint Managing Director
A project manager with more than 30 years experience in the property and construction market, working in all sectors including commercial, education, hotel & leisure, healthcare and heritage.
Mandy's extensive project management expertise has been developed through working with clients, contractors and consultancy organisations.
Mandy joined Academy in 2011 and she has overseen the growth of our project management team.
As Joint Managing Director Mandy shares the successful running of the Academy business and its high quality and flexible service to deliver projects effectively and successfully.

Nigel Raven
Director Project Management
Nigel is an accomplished project professional with over 30 years’ experience gained across the full construction and property development lifecycle.
He has a proven track record across a range of disciplines including project management and design management across the industrial, commercial, education, aviation, infrastructure, healthcare, heritage and residential sectors.
Nigel joined Academy from a client-side background and is providing PM and EA / CA services on a range of schemes of varying scale and complexity utilising a variety of contractual routes.
Nigel leads the in-house Project Management team and is also actively engaged in business development.
